Rosa Parks: Background Date of birth: February 4, 1913 Death date: October 24, 2005 Born(state):Alabama

Rosa Parks: African American Segregation Activist Rosa Parks got arrested for not giving her seat up on a full bus. A white man walked on the bus and told Rosa to move so he could sit down. Rosa then refused to move to the back of the bus, so she was arrested.

Rosa Parks: Opening Eyes After Rosa got arrested, many people knew that segregation was very bad. Since she got arrested for not giving up her seat on a bus, the black community boycotted buses all over the country.

Segregation: Information What is segregation? Segregation is the separation of races because they are that certain race.

Segregation: African Americans Segregation of African Americans and white people was inappropriate. Whites and African Americans weren’t allowed to go to the same restaurants, schools and even water fountains.
