Big Question If I put baking soda, salt, flour, and sugar with water which one will explode the fastest?

Hypothesis I think the sugar and baking soda explode the fastest.

5-8 Interesting facts I.The first interesting fact I have is when I was watching to see which one will explode the fastest one of them started to boil and then it exploded. II.The second interesting fact I have is when it exploded it was so cool. III.The third interesting fact I have is when I put the salt in nothing happened.

Materials oBoBalloons oWoWater oFoFlour oBoBaking soda oFoFunnel cup oSoSalt oSoSugar

Step by Step 1.You get balloons and put flour in one, sugar in one, salt in one, and baking soda in another. 2.After that you put at least ¼ water in each one. 3.The last thing you do is wait until it explodes.

Controls/ Variables My controls and variables are the water and the balloons

Observation My observation is that the baking soda exploded first and the salt exploded after!!!!!

Data SugarSaltBaking soda Flour The second One to explode The forth one to explode The first one to explode The third one to explode

Analyze DID THE EXPERIMENT TEST MY HYPOTHESIS? The experiment did not test my hypothesis. The reason for that is because the baking soda exploded first and the sugar exploded after the baking soda. HOW DO I KNOW? I know because I watch it to see what happens.

Conclusion My conclusion is that when I did the experiment it was so fun. It is a great experiment to do. My hypothesis was not correct but I still had fun.It helped me learn how things explode!!!!
