Objectives Students will be able to define a fact as a statement that can be proved true or false. Students will define an opinion as a statement of someone’s beliefs that cannot be proved true or false.

FACT A statement of fact can be proved true or false.

Opinion A statement of opinion is what someone believes or thinks.
