Powerpoint Templates Page 4 Cassandra’s Dilemma: The previous situation is known as Cassandra’s Dilemma, which comes from Greek mythology. Cassandra was a beautiful woman who was the daughter of King Priam, the last king of Troy. She was granted the gift of prophecy from the Greek god Apollo, because he loved her. When she refused to return his love, Apollo cruelly twisted her gift. She now was doomed to tell the truth, but not to be believed. She accurately predicted the destruction of her homeland of Troy, but her warnings went unheeded.

In doing so, they’ve faced their own Cassandra’s Dilemmas.
