You will learn how to… Plan your multimedia projects Document multimedia artefacts Create a range of multimedia Critique each other’s work Use a range of software Understand how multimedia data is stored
Module Delivery Pattern 1 X 1 hour lecture per week During the lecture you will be presented with the background technical theory to the practical sessions in the lab Not every week of the module will have a lecture! 1 X 2 hour lab session The lab is your opportunity to obtain hands on experience of the software / technology related to the module You need to put in seven hours a week of your own time! That’s one hour every day of the week!

Assessment A portfolio of work consisting of four media products Media Product 1– Web Page Creation – 20% Media Product 2 – Digital Imaging – 20% Media Product 3 – Animation – 20% Media Product 4 – Audio Video – 20% Your work will go in the public domain! (Just like in the real world!) Register your topic by week 2 4 X Reviews worth 2.5% each 1 x Driving test worth 10%
FTP Submission Your work for the portfolio is to be submitted via the ftp portal Ask your tutor for username and password Check that you have a folder set up for the first assignment – if not let me know
Each Web Site will Consist of… 1. The Web Site 2. The media product 3. Video Presentation 4. All documentation used in creating the site Be sure to read the assignment spec carefully!
“Must Haves” The ID Card software running in your presentation, with your photo visible at all times Your own voice on the presentation The Media Product and Video must match If not your work will be capped at 40%!
