SHANARRI Assembly Active, Nurtured P3 10th September 2015

Welcome to our P3 SHANARRI assembly. We will focus on the importance of being active and nurtured.

What does it mean to be active?

In school we are learning to move well............ ............and to play games

After school, we can join clubs, for example............

We have the right to be active because it helps us to stay healthy. We have found that children all over the world keep active and exercise this right.

In China, children are organised to take exercise together, including stretches.

In Africa, children enjoy running, circle and ball games, just like us.

Being active doesn’t just keep us healthy, it makes us feel good about ourselves and we can make new friends. This is important because we have the right to be nurtured.

What does it mean to be nurtured?

When we are nurtured people care about us. They help us to feel loved and trusted, happy and satisfied with life.

In school we have the right to be listened to, encouraged and to have our achievements recognised.

At home we have the right to have our needs met, for example, to eat healthy food, to have a warm bed, clean water. But above all, we have the right to be nurtured.

Children all over the world have the right to be nurtured.

When we think of what makes our lives happy, when it comes down to it, all you need is love.

Thank you for listening to our assembly.

There's nothing you can do that can't be done Nothing you can sing that can't be sung Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game It's easy There's nothing you can make that can't be made No one you can save that can't be saved Nothing you can do but you can learn to be you in time It's easy All you need is love All you need is love All you need is love, love Love is all you need (Love, love, love) (Love, love, love) (Love, love, love) All you need is love
