In a typical day, flute tutors help their students perfect new skills on the flute. Some days, they may go on trips to take their students to examinations and competitions.
To be a flute teacher/tutor, it usually takes 2-4 years after high school. If you played flute in school for a school band or had a tutor as a child, it will most likely take less time.

All it really takes to be a flute tutor is to be able to play the flute. It will take patience and the ability to work with others, though.
I think there will always be a need for this job. The need will probably increase (in my opinion), as there are less and less people these days to meet the qualifications.
