Parent Requests School describes and asks cooperation in the child taking part in the school’s intervention process Can’t hold up a parent request to do an evaluation if they don’t agree to the interventions In almost all cases, interventions will have to be implemented WHILE the evaluation is being done 15

Chapter 9 – Private School/Home School Service Plans (not IEPs) Parentally placed students who qualify have the opportunity to participate, but have no individual right to SpEd or Related Services. RHSD3 is required to use a proportionate share of our federal funding to provide services. – between 1 and 2 hours per week per child Served with Service Plans NOT IEPs

What Teachers Need to Know about Service Plans RHSD3 procedures (Private School/Home School Students) and Service Plan (green) Student should be entered in EXCENT, but Service Plan is not in EXCENT. Charter Schools ARE NOT private schools – CAH is our responsibility (IEPs) – YPA and Virtual Charter School is the responsibility of the SC Charter School District 17
