Need #7 – Needs Oriented Evangelism

 Matthew 28:19-20 – “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

 Yes. And NO!  Ephesians 4:11 – And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and SOME as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers…  Yet, everyone can share his or her faith.

 It is what Jesus practiced  Matthew 11:4-5 – Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and report to John what you hear and see: the blind receive sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.”

 Luke 4:18 – “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed.

 Luke 10:30-37  “Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the robbers’ hands?”  “And he said, ‘The one who showed mercy toward him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do the same.”

 James 2:15-17 – If a brother or sister is without clothing or in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.

 Matthew 25:31-46  The needs: hungry, thirsty, stranger, naked, sick, imprisoned.  The righteous – met the needs.  The unrighteous – ignored the needs.  “You did it to Me”

 Romans 10:15 – “How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!”

 John 4:35 – “Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest?’ Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.”
