Part 6 – Healing a Deaf - Mute Man

v. 31 “And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis. v. 32 And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. v. 33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;

v. 34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. v. 35 And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain. v. 36 And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;

V. 37 And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.”

The Cure

Isa. 35:5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. 6. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. 7. The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

Don’t tell anyone about this miracle!!  He did not do this to promote himself  The multitudes would hinder his teaching

Deafness endangers physically Spiritual deafness endangers our soul refuse to hear word of God can lead to eternal death “He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.” Lk.8:8

Opened ears - Loosed tongue Word Saves us: Jas. 1:21 “able to save your souls” Rom.1:16 “power of God to salvation” Jn. 8:32 “the truth shall make you free”

Not like fake healers Always did things well Creation “it was good” Perfect atonement for sins - Heb.9:26 Perfect plan of Salvation
