CONOR OBERST

EARLY LIFE  Conor Oberst was born February 15, 1980 in Omaha Nebraska.  Went to school at St. Leo School in Omaha, Nebraska  Attended Nebraska University, but dropped out to start touring with his music

EARLY MUSIC 1990’S  Conor played in his first band Commander Venus with Ted Stevens (Cursive) and his older brother.  With Conor’s brothers and friends they created a Record label called “Lumberjack Records”  Released his first CD called “Do You Feel at Home?”  Started focusing in his solo project

BRIGHT EYES  First featured cd “A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995–1997”  Members Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott  Released 8 albums

“THE NEW DYLAN”  Called the New Bob Dylan by the New York Post  'It's hard to ignore all the news reports. They say we must defend ourselves. Fight on foreign soil. Against the infidels. With the oil wells. I’M WIDE AWAKE  Released January 25, 2005  I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning was at number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart and at number 2 on the Billboard independent albums chart.  “And I'm not sure what the trouble was that started all of this, The reasons all have run away but the feeling never did, It's not something I would recommend, but it is one way to live, Cause what is simple in the moonlight, by the morning never is, What's so simple in the moonlight, now is so complicated, What's so simple in the moonlight, so simple in the moonlight –Lua

CASSADAGA  Bright Eyes switched it’s Indie rock/ indie folk sound for a new country sound.  Released April 10, 2007  Cassadaga debuted at number four on the U.S Billboard 2004  This album was #12 on Rolling Stone's list of the Top 50 Albums of 2007  qPVXTOKqqs
