“Be careful not to do your ‘acts of righteousness’ before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

God wants to reward "Acts of righteousness" As he directs With what he owns!

“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you" - Matthew 6:1-4

What's God's desire? Drive faithfulness into his people And then reward them For acting on that faith

They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life - 1 Timothy 6:18-19 Blessings now. Blessings to come.

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal…" In heaven= God's will

Place determines Permanence Place means Approval

The only thing you own Is what you give away

The secret to God working in you is God working through you

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also

Very next words… "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear…" - Jesus, Matthew 6

Out of love… God did not make us owners But managers with a Mandate And a Responsibility to the Ultimate Owner

Ownership: - Worry and Stress - Disobedience to God - Pride and/or Envy

Management: - Faithfulness to God - Fewer worries (broke appliances) - No need for Fear (not mine) - Humility and Freedom

He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need - Eph. 4:28

Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone - Colossians 4:5-6

Many of you… You are where you are now Because someone gave Time, Attention, Love Money, Prayer, Faith

He was very depressed… And his car wasn't going to start…

Decisions made in the moment Flow from character forged over time

You signed it over Do you believe He wants more for you? Do you trust he is good? Is he your security?
