Definition  An imitation of a particular writer, artist, or a genre, to produce a humorous effect.  Uses exaggeration to mock a certain piece of work, which may be serious  Overstressing dominant features of popular works.

Examples  “Vampires Suck” is a parody of the Twilight Series  Scary Movies series are parodies of all horror movies  “She’s the Man” is a parody Twelfth Night
