Recycling Recycling By: Nick DiCara 86 By: Nick DiCara 86
What is Recycling? Taking something that isn’t useful anymore and making it into something entirely new instead of throwing it away.
Why Important? It is believed that the amount of carbon dioxide in the earth’s atmosphere is causing global warming. Recycling is just one of many ways that people can cut down the amount of carbon dioxide that is released into our atmosphere. Recycling is also better for the environment because it takes less energy to produce and saves many trees.
Why Important Cont. Landfills are mostly composed of non- recycled waste which takes long time to decompose. By recycling, we can lessen the waste materials that are placed into landfills. If we don’t recycle, more and more garbage will go to landfills until they all get filled up.
Process First stage- collecting and sorting- waste materials are collected and then processed and sorted according to its type and use Second Stage- manufacturing- phase where the collected and sorted materials are processed into new reusable products Third Stage- selling of the recycled products to consumers- The new item will be sold and the process will start all over to another object
What can you recycle Paper Plastic Aluminum Cardboard Batteries Newspapers Glass Steel cans Leaves and other yard debris Motor oil And more
My Goal My goal from this presentation is for everybody to recycle as much as they possible can. If we can all start recycling and have less trash we can help this environment a whole lot!
