CELEBRATE MY STATE The nickname for Alaska is the last frontier or the land of midnight. The flower for Alaska is forget-me-not. Alaska's animal is the bowhead whale. Alaska's bird is the willow ptarmigan.

EARLY HISTORICAL FACTS The first Alaskans that came to Alaska is Tlingit Haida, and Athab Asian Indians. Vitus Bering exploring for Russia islands on kayak island. Gregory Shelikhou builds Alaskas first Russian settlement onto kodiak island.the first people.

PHYSICAL FEATURES My state is located in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. My state has the area of 591,004 sq. mi.and is ranked the 40th in the size.
