FOR MYA MUNROE THE BEST BOOK-BUDDY !!EVER!!

Once upon a time there was a girl named Mya. She was seven years old, and loved ballet. She wanted to be the best ballet dancer ever.

When she was watching TV one day, Mya saw a ballerina dancing. The lady hurt her hand, but she kept dancing. Mya thought that the lady was very brave.

One day, her ballet teacher told her ballet class that they could dance in a show. They would have a contest, and the best ballerina, would be the main dancer.

Mya practiced a lot. She worked very hard. Very, very hard. She wanted to dance in the show. She wanted to be the very best. The very, very best.

On the day of the contest, Mya and her best friend, Haley, tied! The teacher said she didn’t know which ballerina was better!

Mya was sad. She didn’t want to hurt Haley’s feelings, but SHE wanted to dance in the show! It wasn’t fair!

The teacher said she would find out the winner the next day. Mya said thank you to her ballet teacher, and went home with her mom, dad, and brother, Kade.

The next day, at dance class, Mya was still feeling sad. The teacher looked happy though. When the teacher said the winner, Mya and Haley started jumping up and down.

The teacher had called BOTH of their names! Mya and Haley both won! They were both sooooo happy!

Mya was happy because she AND Haley won. The teacher was happy because Mya and Haley were very good dancers. Haley was happy because Mya was still her friend.

At the show, Mya and Haley dance together! They are the best dancers in the class. They have lots of fun! They are very happy! It was Mya’s Ballet Dream!

BIOGRAPHY This is Jessica Jurgenliemk. She is 11 years old. On September 4 th she will be 12! She likes to hang out with her friends Glen, Oshia, Sammi, Emilee, Hannah, and Abby, who lives in Halifax. You can usually find her reading, singing, practicing piano or playing her guitar.
