European Mobility Folktales (EUMOF) LLP CY-COMENIUS-CMP Advices and tips for writing a successful proposal Panayiotis Angelides University of Nicosia Cyprus

Summary Short presentation of a project How to write a successful proposal How to coordinate a successfully a Comenius project

EUMOF project Collection of folk tales for promoting intercultural education Characters who travel in "foreign" places and meet "other" people, creatures, cultures. Exploration, Labor, Commerce, Tourism, War, Politics, Culture, Communication, Collaboration, Immigration… The EU has always promoted the "mobility» of people, goods, ideas, cultural projects, etc. between member states.

24 Stories from 5 Countries in 5 languages and 1 Dialect

How to write a successful Comenius proposal Project idea –Innovative idea (Simple ideas are the best ideas. What are the priorities of the EU?) What are the regulations of the LLP? Structure the proposal (Clear objectives, clear WPs) Select partnership (spread across EU, different types of organizations) Share the idea with partners (Preparatory meetings, through s, skype meetings)

How to write a successful Comenius proposal Writing up (Be explicit and don’t take anything for granted, clear and not too many deliverables) How long it takes to write a proposal? (start early, 1-4 months) Preparation of the budget (Estimate the cost, think about everything, be realistic) Deliverables and budget (Correspondence between budget and deliverables)

How to coordinate a Comenius project Good communication with partners (involve them in decision making, WP leaders to lead their WPs) Clear tasks-clear deadlines (make clear the deadlines to all partners) Keep deadlines (prepare a document with all deadlines and send reminders to partners) Follow the proposal (The proposal is the bible of the project but you have to strictly follow it)

How to coordinate a Comenius project Keep evidence of what you do (tasks, deliverables, presentations e.t.c) Dissemination – Exploitation (start early, choose carefully) Financials (follow the proposal) Good internal and external evaluation (involve the external early enough)

Thank You!!!
