TAKING YOUR OFFICIATING TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Reputation: Builder or Breaker

You have total control over your officiating reputation. As you build a reputation you must nurture and refine it, in order to grow and advance as an official.

What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make. (Jane Goodall)

Attributes to craft your reputation

Be a student of the game

Be humble

Be approachable

Be a sponge

Be a team player

Be a goal setter

Be a communicator

Be prepared physically, emotionally and mentally

Be Lucky

Be a business person

Leave your ego at the door.

Many officials want to work the “big matches”. They too want to climb up the officiating ladder. You are in control of your climb.

Build your reputation don’t destroy your reputation.
