Strategic HR Content Providers Planning & Performance Division (PPD) provides research, data and information to support strategic workforce and performance management. Information is compiled from credible public and private sector resources. Content links to other disciplines such as: Workforce Planning tools link to Competencies, Job Analysis, Assessment and Recruitment. Workforce Data and Trends link to Reports and Publications. 3

HIGHLIGHT: 2010 Statewide Workforce Report The 2009 Statewide Workforce Report was the first statewide workforce report in 20 years. – Report received the 2010 NASPE Communications Award. – Legislator’s, legislative staffers and the media continually referenced the report. – Other state’s are using our report as a model for creating their own tool. The report is a tool for state leaders in setting priorities, making improvements and monitoring accountability. Core workforce metrics are reported as well as significant workforce impacts/issues. While the focus is on the fiscal year, key initiatives are also noted. 7

WA State Employee Data Focus is Executive Branch data. Headcount and Temporary Layoff data is provided for Legislative and Judicial Branches.
