I can describe the characteristics of the different types of writing required by the CCSS and how they are incorporated into the modules. 1.I can describe how models, critique, and descriptive feedback are used to promote the development of high-quality common core aligned writing from students. What’s not in the Modules We value other areas of writing instruction. Our “charge” was to provide curriculum directly linked to the shifts in instruction for teachers. Module lessons designed to last about an hour a day in grades 3-5; 45 minutes in grades 6-8. EngageNY.org6
