Fun With Stories! Web quest by Lindsay Haney

Introduction: We have been reading stories in class. We have discussed which ones we like, which ones we do not like, and why. Now you will be given the chance to create stories of your own!

Your Mission: Task: Using the resources for creating stories, you will try your hand at creating your very own stories! Once you’ve practiced at the first two sites, the third has a printable word wall to help you create a story that is your very own! Resources: Tell Your Own Neighborhood Story: Help Jay Jay: Watson’s World Wall:

Process: 1. You will go to the first site, Tell Your Own Neighborhood Story, and pick the pictures and the order you want for your story. You can practice with this picture-only story before moving on to the next site. 2. Next, go to Jay Jay’s site to create a story with you as one of the characters! 3. Finally, you will go to Watson’s Word Wall site. Choose a letter for the word wall you want to print. Use the words to write your own story!

Conclusion: You will be using the web sites to create your very own stories. You will connect what you learn with what we have already learned in class about stories. The last site is printable. Therefore, you will have a printed version of your own story to share with the class when this activity is complete!
