Each agency will be involved in collecting and sharing event specific situational awareness, developing Incident Action Plans and contributing to the overall operation of the Jackson County EOC. Exercise Scope
Copyright - Disaster Resistant Communities Group – It is early July and local citizens have been following the approach of Hurricane Alberto as it moves through the eastern portion of the Gulf of Mexico. Projections from the National Hurricane Center indicate that the storm will make a left turn and head towards Texas. The turn to the west never comes and in the early morning hours the storm slams into the coastline just south of Marianna with strong category two winds and a storm surge on top of a high tide. After the storm has moved through the Jackson County numerous governmental agencies along with community and faith based organizations are coordinating response and recovery activities as a unified team working out of the county's Emergency Operations Center. Exercise Scenario
