biped (noun) Definition:  A creature with two feet Humans are bipeds because they walk on two feet!

centipede (noun) Definition:  A creature with 100 feet The centipede scurried across the floor quickly.

impediment (noun) Definition:  Something that stands in one’s way;  An obstacle The only impediment from doing well in school is one’s own poor attitude, which can stand in one’s way! School is DUMB!!!

millipede (noun) Definition:  A creature with 1,000 feet A millipede has ten times as many legs as does the insect, a centipede.

pedal (noun) Definition:  A lever that is moved with one’s foot Tandem bikes have two sets of pedals.

peddler (noun) Definition:  A person who goes door to door on foot trying to sell a product. The peddler tried to sell used DVDs and movies to my neighbors and us.

pedestrian (noun) Definition:  A person who walks across the street on foot Pedestrians must be very careful when crossing the street as cars zip quickly around the corner.

pedicure (noun) Definition:  A foot treatment that could include soaking the feet and polishing the toenails. I love when I get a pedicure because I truly feel pampered to have my toes painted.

quadruped (noun) Definition:  A four-footed creature Rabbits, cats, and dogs are considered quadrupeds because they walk on all four legs.

tripod (noun) Definition:  A three-footed stand often used to balance a camera Whenever Father takes a picture, he must use a tripod to help stabilize the camera.
