Homework APS homework policy: up to 60 minutes + 30 minutes of reading Math: Students will complete one brief math assignment related to our lesson in class. Language Arts: Students will complete one brief LA assignment related to comprehension, vocabulary or grammar. Additionally, Students will read nightly to or with someone for 30 minutes.

Field Trips Jamestown Swimming Arlington Public Schools’ Planetarium In-House Experiences –Arlington House –Kids’ Marketplace –Civil War presentations These are examples of field trips we’ve taken in the past. We are currently working to schedule field trips.
Instrumental Music Classes are 30 minutes once a week –Students are responsible for making up missed assignments. Rental fee (Let your child’s teacher know if this is a problem!)
Lunch 12:20-12:40 Please feel free to join your child for lunch. Please use School Bucks to put money in your child’s lunch account.School Bucks
Birthdays You are welcome to bring a treat for the class to celebrate your child’s birthday. Birthday celebrations take place in the cafeteria during the students’ lunch time (12:20).
