What do physical scientists study to learn about the world?

Describe an experience in science from previous years that involved observing and then making an inference or prediction from the observations.

Science Standard 8.9: Scientific progress is made by asking meaningful questions and conducting careful investigations.

observing: using one or more senses to gather information. inferring: explain your observations. predicting: making a forecast of what will happen in the future based on evidence. chemistry: study of the properties of matter and how matter changes. physics: study of matter, energy, motion, and forces, and how they interact.
