Central Office must first provide you with the needed USERNAME and PASSWORD. Please contact Joyce Harting, Thomas Schmitz or Jan Ward with any questions.
KCA Test Builder will give you access to formative tests based on your teaching assignment in this district. Joyce Harting as the permission to change this if needed.
Name: sort the tests by standard (number order ABC or ZYX) Subject: sort tests by subject order Grade: sort the tests by grade level Add to my test: assign test to student (electronically) Preview: preview questions (no answers available) Print: print a copy of the test (no answers available)
The selected test is added to My Tests. These are the tests you have selected. Please note that it has not been assigned to the students, yet. Notice the delete button.
You must click on new administration to assign this test to your class (or any class you give the password to – provided at the end of this process ).
Notice you must complete the data table below. The most important part will be the password. The student(s) must have this password to complete the test. The description will make it easier for the teacher to address scores. Then press Continue.
Set the range of dates that you wish to have this test available to the student(s). Remember s/he(they) cannot access the test until you provide the password and session ID (discussed later). Then press Create New Administration.
The student(s) must know the SESSION ID to complete the test.
Click on Update Properties. You have assigned the first assignment.
You may access a test’s password and session ID my clicking on the My Test tab, and then you must click on the Properties button.
The student must first log-in by using the KANSAS ASSESSMENT icon. This should be located somewhere on the student’s desktop.
The normal testing screen will appear. Notice the yellow sunflower near the center. It is titled Take a Formative Test. The student must click on this link. Take a Formative Test
The log-in screen will appear. The student is asked for three pieces of information. 1.Your User Name (the student types in his/her name) 2.Your Password (provided by the teacher) 3.Your Session ID (provided by the teacher) The student simply types in his/her name (the teacher did not need to create a roster. The teacher must provide the password and session ID. This is available on the properties button from the teacher’s My Test screen ( tb.cete.us/servlet/tb/index.html ). All students use the same password and session ID. tb.cete.us/servlet/tb/index.html
