Germany must be weakened as much as possible

Germany should be punished but the treaty should not be too harsh

Our land, industry and people have suffered enormous damage. Germany must be crippled so it cannot attack us like this ever again

It is important to strengthen democracy in Germany so that its people will not let German leaders cause another war

Nations should cooperate to achieve world peace – this should happen through the creation of a League of Nations

Self determination for Eastern Europe

We want to start trading with Germany again ASAP

Germany must lose its navy and colonies

Germany should be broken up into a collection of smaller states
