Eurostat The manual: 1999 edition; 2006 and 2015 revision of the tables Several pilot data collections: , Time series from 2006 to 2013 with patchy coverage The 2014 questionnaire: 13 tables 26 out of 28 Member States + 2 EFTA countries + Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted at least the main Table 3c Conclusion: Full implementation not achieved yet A different approach needed. Some legal basis The methodology needs update too State of art on IEEAF

Eurostat Task Force to review IEEAF (1/2) A TF was set up to: Review conceptual framework for forest accounts Identify core tables and priority tables Review the specifications of the tables and other methodology Main work on tables 1 and 2: land and timber assets Participants are members from the WG forestry statistics and accounts TF started work in late Met already 3 times. Not finished yet

Eurostat Task Force to review IEEAF (2/2) TF proposes 3 core tables for future legal cover: Table 1: Land (physical and monetary) Table 2: Timber (physical and monetary) Table 3c: Production (monetary) Task Force proposes other priority tables for voluntary transmission: Table 4: Physical supply and use Table F2: Carbon in forest ecosystem Another TF meeting scheduled Further work: specification of items in the tables Revised manual and a comprehensive dataset at EU level
