dispose- to throw away or get rid of something If you dispose of a milk jug, you throw it in the garbage.

reusable- something that can be used over and over again We buy cloth napkins because they are reusable.

enormous- very large The African elephant was enormous.

recycle- to process something so that it can be used again Recycling is both an easy and important task for our environment.

future- a time that hasn’t happened yet Tomorrow is in the future.

bin- a large container used to store things We always throw our paper in the recycling bin that is in our classroom.

litter- trash that is not where it should be The cleaning crew helped to pick up all of the litter on the ground after the festival was over.

assortment- a collection of different kinds of things I put an assortment of candy together for my birthday party.

pollution- the dirtying of the environment Pollution in water makes it unsafe to drink.

conservation- the protection of our environment Steve Irwin spent his career studying wildlife and fighting for animal conservation.
