 World War II finished in The Axis of Power ( Nazi Germany, Soviet Union, Hungry, Romania, Bulgaria and Japan ) were defeated (beaten) by the Allies (US, Australia, France, Poland, United Kingdom, Belgium, Brazil Canada, Czechoslovakia, Ethiopia, Greece, India, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, The Philippines, South Africa, Yugoslavia).

Use the map in your folder that looks like this. 1.Colour the axis of power in red. Label the countries 2.Colour the Allies in blue. Label the countries. Work sheet 1.

 As a result of World War II the Allies developed a fear of communism and the Axis of Power developed a fear of the anti- communist countries. This became known as the COLD WAR. No physical war broke out but it was a period of political conflict and military tension between the two major powers. USA and SOVIET UNION.  Can you locate these two countries on the map.
