Case Studies: Intra-Year Goals  Jillian, a 5th grader, took the SRI in the fall, and received a score of 880L.  She is a motivated student who would like to reach the ADVANCED category.  For Jillian to reach this level she would need to grow at least 275L in Grade 5.

Case Studies: AYP Goals  Travis is a 9th grader with a Lexile score of 1040L in the spring.  To demonstrate that Travis has shown adequate growth, his 10 th grade score would need to be 1080L.  Travis needs to improve his SRI score by 40L to maintain the proficiency range.

Case Studies: Intervention Goals  Lily received an 325L at the end of Grade 4.  To reach the midpoint for Grade 5, she would need to demonstrate 485L growth in one calendar year.  To reach midpoint for Grade 6, she would need to grow a total of 535L.  How will Lily and her teacher accomplish this? Create two years goals with annual benchmarks Grade 5 = 267L improvement (592L) Grade 6 = another 268L improvement (880L) 40.
