Report to Athens City Board of Education Reporting Student Progress in Grades 4 th -9th

Historical Review On August 11, 2008, Dr. Rigell discussed and recommended a pilot program that established a 9- week grading period for grades 4-9 during the school year. This recommendation was supported by the administrative staff and Athens Education Association. An evaluation of the pilot program and a report will be presented to the Board of Education in April of 2009 This recommendation was approved by the Board of Education on a motion from Mrs. Boyd and a second by Mr. Nelson.
