General Expectations All official school rules will be followed in all classes. Students are expected to be on task during class. If students finish early, they can quietly work on other class work or read. Inappropriate behavior may result in a brief conference, shh…, tech violation, or on task slip, removal from class, and/or logical consequence. Unacceptable items Gum Food and Drink (other than water) Please follow dress code

Grades and Assignment Expectations Standard Grading Scale  % = A  80-89% = B  70-79% = C  60-69% = D  0-59% =F  All work must be done neatly, using pencil or blue/black ink. Always write answers in complete sentences if there is enough room to do so. NO COPYING OR PLAGERIZING will be tolerated

Late Work Policy To better serve our student’s educational needs and prepare them to meet future expectations of high school, Santan Junior High will adhere to the following late work policy: 1 Day late 25% off 2 Days late 50% off 3 Days late 0 IEP and 504 Students with documented time extension or students with special circumstances may turn in a late assignment with teacher discretion up until the last week of the quarter. In addition, teacher discretion will be exercised for large projects/assignments and for work that cannot be made up (examples: labs, warm-ups, in-class assignments/lectures).

Tutoring –All 8B teachers offer tutoring on Wednesday and Friday morning from 8-8:45am –Additional times may be possible with prior arrangements with the teacher.

Infinite Campus and Teacher Websites Go to Under the Resources tab you can find the link to Infinite Campus to check grades –Team 8B asks for grade checks every 2 weeks– have you seen the form? Select Santan Junior High and then search the Directory for individual teacher websites or team websites

Communication is the fastest method of contact for questions/concerns. All phones go directly to voic to minimize classroom disruptions. Unless off campus, all communication will be answered within 24 hours. Group sent to all teachers with the same message are a great way to check in on student progress. Group s will be sent home by the team on occasion. These might include upcoming events, important assignment reminders, etc. Please make sure that we have your and cell phone numbers.
