What is the purpose of Surge Student Ministry? Our goal is to help people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We believe a fully devoted follower is one who is: Walking with God Living the Word Serving the church Impacting the world

What is Power Surge? Power Surge is a time where those who are stakeholders in the Surge Student Ministry come together to pray and plan for the ministry to our students.

When does Power Surge meet? Power Surge will meet at least quarterly _________________________ Sunday, April 10 Sunday, June 26 Sunday, October 9

Surge Student Ministry is Family-Ministry Based In other words, what happens in Surge should be a byproduct of what is happening with families at home.

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:4-9

“Make sure there is no man or woman, clan or tribe among you today whose heart turns away from the lord our God to go and worship the gods of those nations; make sure there is no root among you that produces such bitter poison.” Deuteronomy 29:18

The older they get, the more important it is to have other voices in their lives saying the same things but in a different way.” -Reggie Joiner, Think Orange pg. 73
