What do Orakelet do? l Give support on connecting to the university wireless network on campus (eduroam) and connection to the Student Residence Network (SRN) using either Windows-based or OS X-based computers. Linux users, you’re mostly on your own. l Provide limited support on IT-services and software provided by the university own risk l Use of provided software or IT-services is at own risk
User accounts (get connected) A student user account grants access to: Student computers on campus A personal account A personal file storage area at the university servers Networks provided by the university ( eduroam, SRN ) IT-services for students Software provided by the university free of charge
How do I get a UiT User Account? l The International Office will provide new international students with a document that state user account information that is required to complete a User Account Activation. l By activating the account you accept the terms of use for IT services provided by the university and you make a personal password for this account
