Egyptian Multiplication

Who Were They? They were an ancient civilization that lived about 5,000 years ago in North Africa. They are famous for their monuments as well as their civilization and knowledge.

Egyptians and Math Ancient Egyptians were also great mathematicians.

Egyptians used an interesting method for solving multiplications problems. Their method is called Duplation, which really just means doubling.
