In this paper we talk about the ghosts in the literature. We searched six books of different authors in English literature. These are the titles of the books: ·Ghost Hunting · The Ghost Next Door · Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits, and Haunted Places · The Ghost Hunter's Guidebook · Ghosts Among Us · How To Be A Ghost Hunter · The Encyclopedia of Ghosts and Spirits

 The Atlantic Paranormal Society, also known as T.A.P.S., is the brainchild of two plumbers by day, paranormal investigators by night: Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson. Their hair-raising investigations, fueled by their unique abilities and a healthy dose of scientific method, have made them the subject of a hit TV show: the SCI FI Channel's Ghost Hunters. Now their experiences are in print fo the first time, as Jason and Grant recount for us, with the help of veteran author Michael Jan Friedman, the stories of some of their most memorable investigations. The men and women of T.A.P.S. pursue ghosts and other supernatural phenomena with the most sophisticated scientific equipment available -- from thermal-imaging cameras to electromagnetic-field recorders to digital thermometers -- and the results may surprise you. Featuring both cases depicted on Ghost Hunters and earlier T.A.P.S. adventures never told before now.  Lorena Bleda Valero.

 The Ghost Next Door takes a revealing look into the lives of average, everyday people from across the country who have had experiences in the realm of the unexplained. Whether you're a true believer in ghosts or a hard-nosed skeptic, you're sure to get a chill or two when you read about the woman who was visited by her grandfather...on the night of his funeral! Or the man who was forced to move by a troublesome spirit...only to find it had followed him! As you make your way through these and other genuinely spooky stories, you'll probably find that ghostly encounters are a lot more common than you had imagined.  Francisco José Urrea Mártinez

 Did you know ghosts still haunt Ohio's State Reformatory - Shawshank? Or that President Lincoln consulted spooks in the course of his work? These and other intriguing 'true' tales of ghostly hauntings are packed into a focus on 'real ghosts' which go beyond listings of haunted houses - though such IS included in Brad Steiger's Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits, And Haunted Places. Author Brad Steiger experienced ghostly presences in his childhood home and has written other books on the paranormal, but the scope and focus on history in Real Ghosts, Restless Spirits, And Haunted Places, along with its weighty coverage, makes Steiger's latest not to be missed.  Esther Valero Pastor.

 Troy Taylor, president and founder of the American Ghost Society, has brought a new level of professionalism to the field with "The Ghost Hunter's Guidebook," which stands as the best and most authoritative book written to date on ghost investigation. Taylor gives his readers thorough coverage of the subject: historical background; explanations of ghosts, poltergeists and hauntings; high- tech tools; photography techniques; mediumistic approaches; how to conduct sound investigations; and how to work with the media and public. Pros, cons and cautions are given careful discussion. "The Ghost Hunter's Guidebook" is the product of Taylor's own first-hand experiences in numerous investigations.  Salvador Gomariz Sanchez

 Macabre and fascinating, Ghosts Among Us offers true-life, haunting accounts of eerie visitations and paranormal experiences along with artistically shot black-and-white photographs of haunted sites. The personal, firsthand reports and chilling, full-length stories are bolstered by sidebars of actual accounts of "Ghosts in the News." Each chapter explores mysterious events-events that the reader will find hard to pass off as mere coincidence. In her quest to uncover explanations for each incident, Leslie Rule extensively researched library archives and interviewed credible witnesses, historians, renowned psychics, and para psychologists.  Mayuri Vargas Loza

AND NOW HOW TO BE A HAUNTER

 This book is full of practical advice used in the author's own ghost- hunting practice. Find out whether you're dealing with a ghost, spirit, or an entity... and discover the one time when you should stop what you're doing and call in an exorcist. Learn the four-phase procedure for conducting an effective investigation, how to capture paranormal phenomena on film, record disembodied sounds and voices on tape, assemble an affordable ghost- hunting kit, and form your own paranormal group.  Carlos Urrea Montoya.
