New Unit Wednesday! War and Change in the Middle East

Business… New binders and tabs (4) are due on Monday Two snow days = massive technological breakthrough Your Fromkin close reading activity will require you to use this, so go and check it out!

New unit… So, our new unit begins in the year 1914! There were a few things that happened in between the Congress of Vienna and WWI…it will be our job to discern what is important and why! As we do this, we will also be preparing for our Middle East and European Map Quizzes, ACT and Work Keys, not to mention those far-off and mystical IB Exams. This unit will prepare you for the content on Paper 3 (the best one).

Some of you enjoy a challenge… This is a great website to practice for your map quizzes! Anyone want to come to the front and try? Map Game: It is easy...It is easy...

Group Activity Groups are randomly selected and will be assigned chapter 2 or 3, skim chapter and decide as a group the three must important events and why! Roles – Recorder: write down list and event details – Presenter: present your three important events – Summarizer: paraphrase the importance of each event – Defender: must field questions from the teacher and class on why it was selected

IF… We do not finish this task, individuals must complete a 1-2 written explanation and defense of why each event was selected. Bring your McKay textbook to class on Thursday.
