The origins and history of english The word english has different meanings like:  it decribes people from a particular part of great britian.  it refers to a particular language.

there were many languages that were spoken in the British Island. Because of the migration and the polical power that some countries had. 1 :-Celts: Celtic languages were spoken all over europe, there were many tribes, one of them was pritaini. 2:-Roman Empire Roman empire ruled several parts of europe, for its political power. For that reason latin was spoken in some part of Britian and the European Continent. Latin influenced celtic and Germanic languages.

English officially stars when germanic tribes and their languages reach the British Island. The anglo saxon or germanic tribes Germanic tribes The Fresians Jutes Saxons Angles English derives from them. At the begining, Germanic language was spoken in a small part of england, but now it is the most spoken language around the world. On the other hand,English was influenced mayority by french and latin.

External and internal change External: it has relation with the language contact, innovations by speakers, or issues of politicalor social identity. Internal: it refers when speakers stop using endings or inflections. it has relation in how children analize the language that they hear. However there is a factor that inhibit internal changes, namelly prescriptive rules.
