Discover the digital world together… safely!

VIDEO CHALLENGE Create a short video on the topic of “Discover the Digital World Together…Safely!” Your video should include advice about being safe when using the internet and connecting with others online.

TOOLS The video can be created with a Flip Camera and MovieMaker, or with PhotoStory3. If you have an iPad to use, you can use ShowMe or ScreenChomp, which are free apps. If you choose to create your video at home, that is okay, too! You can use iMovie or any other software you have available.

REQUIREMENTS Your video project should be between 1-2 minutes in length. You must follow Copyright and Fair Use rules for using digital images and music.

HELP AVAILABLE Mrs. Roettenberger will be available to help you with your project during your lunch times as follows: – Mondays and Thursdays at Pembroke – Tuesdays and Fridays at West Maple You must make an appointment. Please ask your teacher to contact Mrs. R. via .

CONTEST WINNERS ALL videos will be shared on our wiki. A panel of adults will select the videos that will be published and shared with the SAFER INTERNET 2012 organization. The selected videos will also have QR codes made that will be distributed far and wide so that anyone with a QR screener app can scan it and see the videos!
