T ODAY ’ S G OALS To understand:  why we need a Literacy Leadership Team  to discuss the Literacy Action Plan  the expectations of this team  FAIR and LBA data

L ITERACY L EADERSHIP T EAM The Literacy Leadership Team will:  several times a year, to implement and monitor the Literacy Action Plan  examine school data from multiple sources, identify a specific need and establish a school goal based on the data  will develop a Literacy Action Plan to identify the steps necessary to meet the school goal including what will be done and by whom  Expectation: support our initiatives

L ITERACY A CTION P LAN Guidelines:  The Literacy Action Plan will be submitted to the Curriculum Department, so support for the planning will be provided  The Literacy Action Plan should include a clear, measurable and attainable goal with outcome measures indicated  At the conclusion of the school year, multiple data sources should be examined in order to determine if the school goal was attained and recommendations for the following school year should be made.
