GANGURO

Ganguro (ganguro - literally "black face") - a special Japanese youth subculture that originated in the 90th year of the last century. The peak of the popularity of this culture occurred in 2000, but young people "ganguro" often can be seen today on the streets of Tokyo, especially in the areas of Shibuya (Shibuya) and Ikebukuro (Ikebukuro).

Ganguro, at first glance, this perpetual holiday somewhere in the Caribbean - a tan and an incredible riot of colors. In the culture of "ganguro" greatly influenced pop singer Namie Amuro from Okinawa (Amuro Namie). In the mid-nineties, many girls wanted to be like this tanned Japanese girl... It is assumed that the appearance of "ganguro" is descended from the African heroes of anime, who is also a brown-colored skin and hair. Also, African-American model, presumably influenced by this subculture, as well as the increasing popularity of hip- hop music.

What are they read? mostly fashion magazines, such as, "Popteen", "Ego System", "Egg" and "Cawaii" SMS messages. They rarely can be met without a mobile.

What are they love? shopping. Things "haute couture" use slang go to the clubs. send SMS messages. listen to music. A lot of favorite artists such as Namie Amuro or group «Max»

Where you can find they? All entertainment districts of Tokyo: Shinzhuku (Shinjuku), Shibuya (Shibuya), Ahikabara (Ahikabara), Roppongi (Roppongi) or Akasaka (Akasaka). Ganguro love shopping, so they can be often seen in shopping malls. They love to entertain, like when a noisy and fun, so often go to clubs.

Western way of thinking, that is positive, while consumer attitude to life. Japanese conservatives criticize ganguro for excessive materialism, believing that a measure of spiritual impoverishment of the Japanese youth.
