INTRODUCTION The Air pollution posed a great challenge for South East Asian countries, because of their economies transition with a rapid development. It has been considered as a major environmental risk to health. Approximately 2 million premature deaths occur worldwide per year because of bad air quality. The situation is worse in developing countries in Asia. ‘More than half of the burden from air pollution on human health is borne by people in developing countries.

INTRODUCTION Air pollution has a lots of environmental and health risks. Greenhouse effect, ozone layer depletion and acid precipitation are well known environmental problem that are caused by air pollution. In South-Asia, a large number of people suffer from health effects because of bad quality of air. Most common diseases include skin, eye and respiratory irritation, headache, dizziness, cough, bronchitis, allergic response, asthma etc. Chronic exposure can cause lung cancer and in serious cases people can die.
