The objectives of the seminar are To create awareness among Rotarians and the public on the importance of going for annual eye screening & not to take their sight for granted. To provide Eyes Screening service during the seminar. To know what other clubs are doing for the Prevention of Blindness within their community. To encourage Clubs without “PB Activity” to initiate one immediately and help to prevent blindness in their community. If you need help to kick start this activity contact your District Prevention of Blindness Committee for assistance.

Who Should Attend Every Rotarian and man in the street as every one has the responsibility to take control of the health of their eyes and should not leave it to chance. Teachers so that they can identify students who have difficulty reading from a distance and advice them on corrective action. Parents so that they too will be able to help detect eye problems in their children.

Structure of the Seminar Prominent Ophthalmologists will be invited to deliver topical presentation on various common eye diseases. Officials from Government Agencies involved in Industrial safety will also address the participants. There will also be presentations by various Rotary Clubs from both Districts on what they do to convey the message on Prevention of Blindness. Every Club will have it’s own way to capture the attention of their community this message on Prevention of Blindness.
