EU project under IST Programme made up of 31 partners from EU & Associated Member States Based on original project set up in 1996 under IV Framework Programme The 31 partners work as or on behalf of their National Contact Points for the IST Programme

IDEALIST Partner Search Active – rapid - efficient The project offers highly successful partner search facilities Process ensures success by providing help to proposers in preparing their partner search SUCCESS This process helped found partners for over 1030 proposers since 1 st Call for proposals (March 1999) During the first two weeks there is an average of 15 responses from interested organizations

1.- Looking for partners for your own project proposal? 2.- You would like to receive project ideas from other organisations all over Europe in your field of interest Two ways to take advantage of Ideal-ist

1. Looking for partners ? Fill out the partner search form (research priority, brief description of project idea, type and role of partners) Send the form to your local Ideal-ist representative PS launched all over the 31 countries (anonymity is possible) Within a few days, you will be contacted by interested organisations

2. Interested in receiving Partner Searches ? Fill in the form to indicate your areas of interest (it takes only 2 minutes) You are included in the Distribution List for the field(s) of your interest You will receive automatically the PS from all 31 countries in your area of interest

Ideal-ist: some figures IDEAL-IST - Results –Ideal-ist found partners for over 1030 projects since 1st call of the IST Programme –100% of proposers were provided with potential partners –Proposers received an average number of 24 possible partners –Over organizations got into contact through Ideal-ist CONCLUSIONS –Strategy has proved to be fast and effective: Ideal-ist found partners in less than one week!!! –Ideal-ist provides partners for about 10% of the proposals

IDEALIST Workshops To help proposers understand the advantages & problems of working with different cultures & countries IDEALIST holds international workshops about the: IST Programme Procedures Content Encourage interaction between participants in developing proposal ideas

Brokerage is carried out at international events Attendees gain knowledge of existing projects, which will help them develop their proposals as well as meeting potential partners In 2001, 11 brokerage events with an average of 83 participants. Venues: Maastrich, Bratislava, Prague, Thessaloniki, etc 50% make further contact with the organisations IDEALIST Brokerage
