Shepard Fairey Project *Choose a Hero or Icon *Using many of the methods used by Shepard Fairey, create a portrait of that person

You must include Collage of various images/clippings Paint Repetition of form/shape High Contrast image of hero/icon A color palette consisting of only 3 colors Be creative and think outside the box Your success/grade will be based on how well you incorporate all of these elements, craftsmanship and THE POWER OF THE IMAGE!!!

Shepard Fairey Considered a graffiti /street artist. Uses street sensibilities and could be considered a modern day POP artist. Main materials are paper, wheat paste,stencils and paint. His focus is predominantly political, but incorporates popular imagery into a lot of his work. He became notorious for his propaganda art, and the brand “OBEY”
