Carl Sagan By Daniel Drew 9AF

Carl Contributed to most of the unmanned missions that explored our solar system, and go on exploring the galaxy as they continue on tearing through space And probably smash into the nearest star, or get blown up by rubbery faced aliens in big warships, but that’s not important…....

These include the voyager probes, and the Mariner 9 spacecraft which transmitted the first detailed images shown Mars,as a dull desolate, boring and down-right average planet.

Some more of the of the many probes and landers that he contributed a lot to were the Viking landers and orbiters. They discovered that mars is not a very nice place to take an evening stroll or pop down to the shops.Mainly because there are not any shops, just lots and lots of red rocks, and certainly no life.

And on each of these probes he shoved a plaque showing Humans, the origins of the Universe and our position in the Solar system. Looks like a bunch of lines and naked people to me.

He helped to determine the atmosphere and surface of Venus Hi there Not going to happen

He also dicovered that Saturn's moon Titan had an atmosphere containing molecules similar to the primitive building blocks of life

He was one of the major scientists who discovered the effects a major Nuclear war would have on the world

Throughout his career he always protested the importance of searching for extra terrestrial life And here you see Sagan at the SETI (Search for extraterrestrial intelligence) conference in Sporting a rather groovy haircut

Carl was always supporting and contributing towards projects using radio telescopes to search for extraterrestrial signals He also discovered it was a very good way of cooking noodles
