Grade 12 Option Presentation 2015

40 hours community service: Have you turned yours in? Due to Guidance by May 15 th, 2015.

YEAR 5? Need to upgrade marks? Missing prerequisites? If you need 6 or more credits, you may want to return to Mowat. If so, you will be required to meet with your Vice Principal or Guidance counsellor. If you need less than 6 credits, consider a semestered school or an alternative school ie: ASE or SCAS

CO-OP PROGRAM AT MOWAT 1.There is no application process– simply choose COOP as an option in myBlueprint.ca/tdsb 2.COOP4 – 4 credit full day every other day 3.COOP2 – 2 credit half day every other day 4.For more information: a) see Mrs. Graves or Mr. Dias in the library b) see a guidance counsellor 5.In March and April the COOP teachers will meet with you to discuss your placement and options moving forward

COURSE SELECTION TIMELINES On line course selection OPEN NOW! On line course selection closes: February 20th, 2015 Students that do not submit course selections in myBlueprint by Feb. 20 th must see their guidance counsellor.

Not returning? You must register online with MyBlueprint.ca/tdsb and indicate that you are not returning. Tell us where you are going after Mowat: COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY, APPRENTICESHIP, WORK, NEW SCHOOL or OTHER.

If you are not returning click “Not Returning” and select a destination pathway

Select from the drop down menu: 1) Apprenticeship 2) College 3) University 4) Workplace 5) New School 6) Other Select an option from the drop down menu AND CLICK CONFIRM – NO SIGN OFF SHEET REQUIRED!!

OCAS and OUAC Transmission Dates: November Transmission: Marks for college, demographic data for universities February Transmission: Interim marks for both college and university April Transmission: Interim marks for both college and university. Students may drop a course by the Full Disclosure Deadline (April 28, 2015). July Transmission: Final Marks and proof of graduation

Offers of Admission Offers of admission will be granted on an ongoing basis until May. Most students will receive an offer of admission after the April transmission. Offers must be accepted by May 1, 2015 for Ontario colleges. Each college will determine the due date to confirm offers made after May 1, Offers must be accepted by June 1, 2015 for Ontario universities. The latest date of an offer by any university will be May 28, 2015.

Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) Students may apply for OSAP once offer from college or university has been accepted. Contact OSAP Officer at the school you will be attending. Mowat will be hosting an OSAP presentation in the spring. Date TBA.
