Welcome to Day #10 Today we are going to talk about: College Marston Vision Statement Rewards

Hi, I’m Dr. Cook! I went to middle school – we called it junior high school – just like you, right here in Clairemont.

I have five college degrees… Associate Arts Degree: Fine Arts Fine Arts Bachelor of Arts Degree: Fine Art & Literature Fine Art & Literature Master of Arts Degree: School Administration School Administration Education Specialist Degree: Educational Leadership Educational LeadershipDoctorate: Yes, it’s true, I love school!

We are from everywhere and we have different ideas about the best way to live our lives, however we have more things in common than we do differences...

Everybody wants to be safe and secure.... to belong.... to have a sense of identity.... to have a sense of purpose.... to feel good at something.

Where are you going? Next Grade Level? High School? College or Trade School? Career? It’s our job to help you get there!

Vision Statement responsible, literate, thinking, and contributing confidence and self-esteem The mission of Marston Middle School is to educate all students in an integrated setting to become responsible, literate, thinking, and contributing members of a technological society. Because we believe that all students can learn, we work cooperatively to instill confidence and self-esteem in every student. By creating a safe learning environment with an instructional curriculum enhanced by interactive technology and a partnership with parents, each student is valued and respected and has opportunities to succeed academically, socially, and personally.

Good Things Coming Your Way Recognition of Positive Choices * Good Citizenship Rewards * Good Citizenship Rewards – Students with all E’s and G’s on their report cards are treated to ice cream sandwiches at lunchtime. * Lunchtime Activities * Lunchtime Activities – In recognition of keeping the lunch court clean, the ASB plans contests, music, and school spirit activities on Fridays.

and * Dances * Dances – The ASB plans after school dances several times during the school year. Behavior, citizenship and academic grades are used to determine who may participate. * Lunch Intramurals * Lunch Intramurals – Students may participate in various sports during lunch.

and * Recognition Assemblies * Recognition Assemblies – Students are recognized for their semester academic achievement and good citizenship at grade-level assemblies at the end of the first semester. * Perfect Binders * Perfect Binders – Those advisory classes with complete and organized binders will be rewarded.

and * Perfect Attendance * Perfect Attendance – Students with perfect attendance get to have extra time at lunch every six weeks. * Caught You Being Good! * Caught You Being Good! – Students who demonstrate exceptional acts of courtesy are given tickets to enter drawings for prizes every six weeks.

Marston Middle School Students Do the right thing … every time … regardless of whether or not someone else is looking!
