Policies and Guidelines Two Policies – Sponsorship Recognition – Advertising Recognition Social Media Best Practices and Guidelines

Policies Sponsorship – “is when an organization pays some or all of the costs involved in staging an event in return for advertising.” Advertisement – “is a message created and displayed for the sole purpose of promoting a business or its product or service.”

Highlights of Sponsorship Sponsorship is for a limited time Cost determined by two consent parties 2 Options

Endorsement, Promotions and Contest Look to UWindsor policy before moving ahead with sponsorship and advertising. Contest Follow the rules of your platform Run the contest by the Social Media Coordinator and UWindsor’s legal department

Be Present and Timely Respond the questions and feedback Post content when the user will most benefit

Confidentiality, Privacy and Security Comply with FIPPA Discourage followers and friends from posting personal information Review your own privacy features to make sure you are comfortable with what you share.
